ADVANCED RESPIRATORY THERAPY
Concorde's Advanced Respiratory Therapy Program is designed for those of you that have completed the Entry Level Program or have passed the NBRC Entry Level Exam. This program opens more doors within your profession. Some hospitals require the advanced credentials in order to work with neonates or in intensive care settings. By increasing knowledge in the field, you increase your chances of acquiring the better jobs. 

You will assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of cardio-pulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities, and use sophisticated equipment to measure lung function and monitor heart functions. You might treat newborns, trauma victims, drowning victims, and patients suffering from asthma, bronchitis, coronary heart disease, emphysema, and pneumonia.

How long is the program?
Our Advanced Respiratory Therapy program is 24 weeks long.

Will I receive hands-on, real world job experience?
In addition to the realistic laboratory environment Concorde provides, we also offer a hands-on working experience in various hospital settings through clinical rotations. Our Advanced Respiratory Therapy program consists of 180 clinical hours.

Are there really jobs available for me?
We could tell you... "Absolutely." But, what we prefer to do is to encourage you to do the research yourself. Get a copy of your local newspaper and read through the Healthcare job listings then go online to search some of the excellent resource websites for opportunities in your field. i.e. Federal Bureau of Labor and Statistics, career.com, salary.com as well as aarc.org and coarc.com. Look for your potential job category and see for yourself the  opportunities that can be available to you when you complete your Concorde training.  If you're interested in a certain facility we encourage you to contact their Human Resources department. The jobs are out there... so don't wait any longer if you want to work in Healthcare. Come to Concorde and we'll prepare you quickly and thoroughly for your new career.

  • Graduates of this program will be eligible and prepared to take the National Board of Respiratory Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Exam (written and clinical simulation).

We know how important this question is to most of you. We have found that our program costs may change slightly with each new session. For that reason, we are unable to provide cost information on our website. We are, however, very happy to discuss our current program costs with you personally. Please give us a call anytime.
