2018 Collaboration of the Year award

It's a privilege to announce that Concorde's Garden Grove campus has received the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce's 2018 "Collaboration" Business of the Year award, given on behalf of the Garden Grove Chamber of commerce, their members, and the surrounding business community.

"Concorde Career College continues to be a very important organization in our community and we appreciate their involvement and contributions to the Garden Grove Chamber and business community," Cindy Spindle, President, and CEO of Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce said in a letter to the Campus. "We value your support and the effort you make to ensure that Garden Grove remains a wonderful community to live, work and play in."

Concorde's Garden Grove was honored at the Chambers 112th Annual Gala and Awards banquet on March 24th at the Wyndham Anaheim Garden Grove Hotel. Lisa Rhodes- Campus President, Lu Ping Gamble- Director of Nursing, Brian Tabalon- business Office Manager and John Cubello- Academic Dean were on hand to receive the award.

Collaboration with the Community

Concorde Career Colleges Garden Grove offers its students a multitude of ways to interact with the community. Many of their programs include an externship component where students work in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and offices throughout the Central California area.

Concorde Career College-Garden Grove's partnership with Orangefield Child Development Center is a great example of one of the many active community collaborations. Students from Concorde's Licensed Vocational Nursing program in Garden Grove complete part of their requirements to graduate by observing children at the Center.

It was such a natural fit with Orangefield Child Development Center's mission of providing the individual interaction, personalized care, learning, exploration, and play that are essential components of an effective ECE experience.

They are committed to helping children develop the cognitive, communicative, and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in school while enjoying their time in a physically- safe setting. We are proud to support such a great community-based organization!

We also love welcoming community members to campus!

"We work closely with California State Senator Janet Nguyen of Garden Grove to conduct a community health fair twice a year on our campus. At this health fair, hundreds of community members receive free health and dental care," says John Cubello, Academic Dean at the Garden Grove campus.

The Garden Grove campus has a dental clinic where community members can schedule appointments for low-cost dental services, like cleanings, x-rays and teeth whitening treatments. Additionally, Concorde hosts various blood-drives, CPR/First Aid classes, fundraisers and fairs through the year to connect the local public with health and wellness opportunities.
