Last week was Dental Assistant Recognition Week. At Concorde, we used it as a time to honor our employer partners, reach out to alumni and celebrate students in our dental assistant training programs.

This year's theme was "Advancing the professional through collaboration and leadership." Together, the dental community acknowledged the growing importance of dentistry's role in health care and the responsibilities of dental assistants.

What exactly do dental assistants do?

In between sterilizing instruments, giving fluoride treatments, post-treatment instructions and follow-up care, our campuses took the opportunity to highlight this important week through food, fun, and fellowship.

Here are a few highlights from across the nation.

Orlando Campus

Concorde's campus in Orlando got punny with some honey buns! Throughout the week, dental assisting students received pun-laced treats. Like we say about life, most things in moderation!

Portland Campus

Students and associates in Concorde's Portland campus gathered together for a quick group picture in between their activities. Our cohorts are more than just classmates. They become their own little family!

Grand Prairie Campus

Dental Assistant Recognition Week isn't just for dental students! Grand Prairie's Concorde campus used it as an opportunity to highlight the important parts of their profession and teach good oral health to other students on campus.

We're not just a dental assistant school, though, check out our other health care training programs!
