Anyone who's been in an educational setting, whether it be a health care learning scenario or other discipline, knows what it's like when you're trying to learn something but just can't seem to grasp the material. It can be very frustrating when you just can't seem to get your brain to comprehend.

Before getting depressed and down on yourself, you might just consider ... the way in which you're trying to learn material just might not align properly with your preferred style of learning. If you don't know your style of learning, it can be like pounding a square peg into a round hole.

There's no reason to get down, though. There's always a way to move forward. No matter your learning style, the key to learning new skills and retaining knowledge is to identify your best health care learning style, be it aural, visual, verbal or something else.

Bluemango Learning Systems recently put together a helpful infographic detailing the seven styles of learning. There's a lot of great information here for those involved in health care learning. Read this carefully, and you might discover your health care learning sweetspot. Good luck!
