Terri Dowell-Kimble, academic dean for diploma programs at the Concorde–Memphis campus, was recently elected to the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE). She is one of five newly elected Commissioners whose terms began on January 1.
COE is a leading accreditor for postsecondary occupational education institutions in over 40 states and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a reliable authority on the quality of education offered by the institutions it has accredited.
“It is an honor to be appointed to serve with such a distinguished committee of professionals and network of over 500 educational institutions. It is an even greater honor to be entrusted with ensuring academic integrity and relevancy in career and technical education. I look forward to representing our industry as COE pursues excellence and growth within the organization,” said Dowell-Kimble.
Dowell-Kimble has served in academic leadership positions at Concorde Career Colleges since 2020. She began her career in higher education as an adjunct professor and later worked through various progressive administrative and leadership positions in Academics Affairs and Student Affairs. In her current role, Dowell-Kimble is a part of a leadership team that delivers transformative student-centered experiences every day and works tirelessly to validate academic integrity and compliance to ensure institutional metrics and student outcomes are met.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Science from the University of Memphis and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
